I congratulate you, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on your victory as the 16th elected President and Commander-in-chief of Armed Forces. It revolves around courage and determination to effect the change and make a renewed hope as the president of Federal republic of Nigeria.
First, I am Omoba Shobande Oluwafemi, the youngest Presidential aspirant of All Progressives Congress (APC) but could not obtain the form to declare his intention due to the huge price tag tabled by our National Working Committee. As a vibrant and intelligent youth, I believe your emergence has unleashed a pact for me and other youths in the country.
You’ve started this administration with a design to fulfil your campaign promises and to also deliver the dividends of democracy. But many citizens are looking forward to what you will bring on board as the elected president under the platform of the APC. To Nigerians, your word(s) is your personality which must be well proven and implemented.
On many occasions, you have reiterated that your doors are widely opened to innovative ideas and strategies, thus; we (youths ) are ready and available to express our ideas, skills and knowledge to help you build a future of a Renewed-Hope.
Your Excellency, I would like to commend you on your choices of female ministerial nominees. They were chosen NOT on sentiment of feminism but looking to tap from their qualities.
In line with Hon. Dayo Israel’s request during a visit to your office, Nigerian youths are watching what your administration will put on the table for them. Please, don’t act like some leaders previous administrations of APC and PDP who did re- appoint same set of people instead of the youths. Instead of fetching the rising stars and build the future in them to create a better tomorrow, in your time (Emi lokan), kindly fetch the rising stars and let the experience and development begin.
Already, we have voted for transparency and accountability by voting you as the president among other qualified candidates. Your Excellency, I plead with you to submit yourself for public scrutiny which is the hallmark of representative democracy.
Here are my vocal points:
Mr President, create policies that would improve our maintenance culture to retain sustainable ideas that will secure our infrastructure facilities.
The issue of pensioners should be another area that you must handle with immediate attention. Old age is a gift and caring for elderly citizens who had worked so hard in their early ages deserve a perfect and stress-free ending.
Looking at your vast experience and knowledge in both private and public sectors, generating fund into the government covers and the removal of fuel subsidy should boost the minimum wages and other institutions that require funding.
Your Excellency, Nigerians are yet to enjoy your government upon the removal of subsidy, it is important for your government to roll meaningful palliative to all cadres of Nigerians; not to the pockets of few.
Health, they say, is wealth. But in Nigeria, only the rich are capable of good medical services while some do travel abroad for just slight medical checkup, kindly put an end to offshore medical treatment for the government officials especially the elected politicians. I appeal to your government to fund medical researches and establish a conducive learning environment for the medical students across the six geo-political zones of the country. Each ward in every local government is entitled to Primary Health Care Centre (Just like Orile Agege LCDA, Lagos state), it’ s pity I lost my sister husband at Gbagada general Hospital due to strike on 4th/5th August 2023.
On the issue of youths, no nation can develop without its working population. Nigerian youths, who supposed to be enviable tools for our uplift, have turned to thugs, miscreants and people of the underworld. Now, it is the time for your government to catch them young. Equip our Secondary schools and tertiary institutions to create better standard for our youths.
The lives and properties of Nigerians should be the main priority of Nigerian police but revers is the case, the organization are used to threaten the poor, the youth and our environment, abuse of office and power intoxication within the police force.
Our police force need to be reformed to a standard that the rule of law and justice would prevail. At this time, police harassment, intimidation, extra judicial killings should stop. Competent and well-mannered Nigerians should be recruited base on their background (education, parental and community records), I will also advise that the corps members should also be deployed to police stations to help sensitize the system especially the awful officers and bring sanity to our society and Nigeria police force.
Violence, cultist, thuggery, Boko haram, Hoodlums, Rapist, Human trackfficking are all the same stories with diff names, YE, return to us a peaceful federal republic of Nigeria, so help you God.
“DIVISION IS HOW THEY WIN…
OUR UNITY WILL MAKE THEM CRUMBLE”
For years private sectors had key into the federal government lacks and opportunity to create meaningful life-style for the people, many consumable food items are well package with beautiful graphics design and with lots of oxygen to upturn the product size but limited content and on a high rate (Price), this act is called cheat, moreso, the pay as you go on telecommunication should also be apply to the cable Tv providers.
The future of Nigeria lies in the hands of the NOW which could only be achieve through standard education, Mr. President our learning environment are bad, our teachers are not well paid, pupils and student are not encouraged, a nation with low standard of education is prompt to lose her value and integrity, Mr. president to achieve this, permit me to recommend Mr. Goodness Morakinyo of Valecia College, a young, vibrant and well experienced youth with lots of machinery to help redevelop our education system.
YE, every election process in Nigeria has received a setback due to uncertain measure that are yet to be put to place, Nigerians has voted for a choice and the choice is now ours while those that thought were cheated are queuing around for justice, Mr. President, give us an election process were other candidate would put a call across to congratulate the winner without any court application or riot, prove to Nigerians that your administration would sensitize and strengthen our judiciary system in-case of unpleasant election result.
Nigeria is a big entity both in population and landscape, lets embark more in farming, introduce a livestock farming to all 774 Local Government, equip and give sustainable grant to farmers and portion lands for Nigeria young farmer.
Lastly, Agege international stadium deserve a unique and befitting name and I would be much grateful if your humble office could consider a new name for the stadium (Prof Babatunde Samuel international stadium).
The late Prof was a father, a political leader and a great educationist who worked so hard especially in Nigeria education system, Baba Prof as he’s popularly called is a mentor to the youth and a nation builder.
I’m Omo’ba Shobande Oluwafemi, a member of the APC in Agege Local Government from the only state with national anthem, a state that has recorded men of high esteem, from a state that has provided one head of state, two term president, one interim president, one president elect and a state where the power to the renew hope was establish (emi lo kan) , from a state established on a solid rock call Olumo…I am from Abeokuta, Ogun State.
