Nigeria Union of Teachers (Agege,Lagos Chapter) has honoured Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) House of Representatives Candidate for Agege Federal Constituency, Hon. Sola Osolana for his enormous contributions to education sector in Agege Local Government.
NUT made this known at this year World Teachers Day celebration in Agege.
“This award (of Appreciation) is presented to you in sincere recognition and appreciation of your contribution towards the education sector in Agege and Orile Agege,” it said.
Recall that Osolana distributed Free GCE Forms to Agege and Orile Agege students across the 13 Wards of the Federal Constituency.
In addition, he recently organised an entrance test for some students to enjoy tertiary educational scholarships to study Engineering, Mass Communication, Computer Science and many more.
While receiving the award, Osolana thanked Nigerian Teachers for their sacrifices over the years and promised his continuous support for the teaching profession.
He added that his S.E.E.D.S AGENDA will accommodate more training and welfare packages for teachers in Primary and Secondary Schools.
Meanwhile, Osolana urged the teachers to vote for him in the upcoming General Elections so that the faces of education can be changed in Agege and Orile Agege Local Councils.
