The administration of Hon Jelili Sulaimon, the Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government, has gotten a further boost in the area of transportation as he successfully partners Qoray, an organisation that is into the production and servicing of tricycle.
The tricycle with the brand name, “Qoray teak” was brought to the local government secretariat today, Tuesday 17th December 2024 for test driving and affirmation of its stated qualities.
According to Mr Bibilade Oyeleke, a member of the Qoray technical team, the tricycle is an electric vehicle that has the capacity to convey around 7 persons at a time.
When fully charged, it has the capacity to travel about 120km before the battery is drained. Also, despite being able to convey 7 persons, it has a luggage box where the passengers can keep their things.
He added that being an electric vehicle, lots of interest will be on battery charging time. On this, he affirmed that an arrangement has been made with the local government authority to build a charging centre in the council secretariat. When a tricycle is brought for charging, the battery will be replaced with a charged one so that the tricycle won’t have to wait while the technical team will take their time to get the drained battery charged.
In terms of repair, the tricycle is made up of regular tricycle materials, which can be handled by anyone in the tricycle repair field. However, a technical team will constantly be available to take care of any issue that might arise, as well as a constant supply of the tricycle spare parts.
The tricycle was test-drive by the Executive Chairman, Hon Jelili Sulaimon and 4 other persons to confirm the qualities that have been stated about it.
