Lagos Isolo Lions Club offers Free Eye Treatment, Glasses to over 250 Iba residents

Lagos Isolo Lions Club has raised its bar of humanitarian services as the club organised Medical outreach to offer free Eye treatment and glasses to Iba residents.

Iba is a Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, It is a significant commercial and transport hub, most notably known as a major entry point for commuters going to areas like Okokomaiko, Mile 2, and FESTAC, and is adjacent to the Lagos State University (LASU). 

The event took place at the Palace of Imperial Majesty, Oba Sulaiman Adeshina Raji-Ashade, Oniba Ekun of Iba Kingdom.

According to the President of Lagos Isolo Lions Club, Lion (Chief) Abolaji Ezekiel Obasanjo, Helping Nigerians who have sight problems is one the areas of focus for Lions Club International and Lagos Isolo Lions Club has to key into the focus.

He said, ” Lions Club International has some areas of focus like sight, diabetes, environment, empowerment and other areas. Today is about Vision , to treat those that are having sight issues and get eye glasses . I advise the beneficiaries to keep their glasses very well and follow the advice of the opticians.

“Away from the free eye treatment and distribution of glasses, our next project is on sensitization of Nigerians on diabetes. How can Nigerians detect diabetes early and how to manage it.

” Also, we shall fight Hunger in our society by assisting people with food relief and empower the less privileged persons.”

On the same vein, Immediate Past President of Lagos Isolo Lions Club, Lion Adebowale Oyekanmi disclosed that over 250 residents of Iba residents benefited from the Free Distribution of Eye glasses .

Meanwhile, Lion Sunday Obisesan PMJF, NLCF ( PRC, DLCIF Coordinator) opined that the club will not stop to give relief to less privileged Nigerians.

While appreciating Lagos Isolo Lions Club for finding Iba Community worthy for the event, Oba Sulaiman Raji-Ashade promised that he will continue to support the club for putting smile on the faces of Nigerians.

The beneficiaries of the free eye treatment and glasses thanked all the members of Lagos Isolo Lions Club for their humanitarian gesture and chosing Iba Community as the venue of the event.

Apart from the 1st Vice President of Lagos Isolo Lions Club, Lion Stella Akhimie PMJF,NLCF, other notable Lion members witnessed the occasion.
