Lions Club is not a secret cult but Global humanitarian Association

The 43rd elected President of Lagos Isolo Lions Club, Lion (Chief) Abolaji Ezekiel Obasanjo has reiterated that Lions Club is not a secret cult but humanitarian services oriented Association with the strong aim of serving the people irrespective of their race, religion or political affiliations.

Obasanjo stated this during an exclusive interview with Hotnewsnaija Online on the mission of his Administration and the upcoming Investiture Ceremony scheduled to hold on Saturday, 25th October,2025.

Chief Abolaji Obasanjo is a philanthropist and business mogul who has invested heavily in Oil and Gas sector.

The Businessman turned Lions President opined that International Lions Club is a blessing to the whole world considering its humanitarian gestures around the globe.

While listing the numerous achievements of Lagos Isolo Lions Club, the 43rd President said the humanitarian club has improved the lives of many residents through many projects.

“Our Club has contributed immensely to Isolo Community and its environs. It has built functional Public Library and provided writing materials for students across different public schools. At different times, Lagos Isolo Lions Club has provided boreholes, empowerment and feeding programme for the residents.

“My Administration will not drop the standard already created by the founders of Lagos Isolo Lions Club. People oriented projects like Vision care, Hunger relief, Empowerment of Women & Youths and Public Awareness will continue.

“Currently, our club is raising funds to assist a Nigerian who is suffering from glaucoma. Although, he has undergone first surgery but he cannot afford the second and final eye operation to regain his sight. We have written letter to the hospital and by God’s grace, Lagos Isolo Lions Club shall pay for the final operation.

“Apart from our usual free Eye screening exercises and distribution of free Eye glasses, our club has raised the bar on Eye treatment and built modern Eye center at Isolo General Hospital, Lagos.

“For empowerment, the tradition of empowering the Youths, Widows and widowers will not stop as well. In our upcoming Investiture Ceremony, we shall empower Nigerians with sewing & Grinding Machine and Vulcanizing equipment,” he added.

To reach more Nigerians who are in need, the 43rd President of Lagos Isolo Lions Club is urging all meaningful Nigerians (Home and Abroad) to support the projects of the club.

On Membership drive, Obasanjo calls on Nigerians, irrespective of their profession, religion, race or political affiliations to join Lions Club to put smiles on the faces of more less privileged persons in the country.
