Orile Agege LCDA Chairman, Hon. Johnson Babatunde has promised to bring more succour to residents as he plans to empower 2,000 residents with ₦100,000 each.
Babatunde made this known during Wednesday’s Stakeholders Meeting On Budget 2025 Fiscal Year
held on 30th October,2024.
Recall that Johnson Babatunde has empowered many residents with cash gifts at different times.
”It gives me great pleasure to stand before you today, which is a memorable day for me as this is another golden opportunity to reel out the achievements of this administration as the Executive Chairman of this great Local Council Development Area.
”It is also a memorable occasion for all Stakeholders to come together to brainstorm, advise and make suggestions on ways to improve and make other beneficial inputs to issues that would make our people at Orile-Agege LCDA enjoy the dividends of Democracy as we prepare for 2025 Fiscal Year.
”As we all know, the goal and aspiration of this Administration has not changed from Rebuilding, Renewing and Restoring the glory of OALCDA so as to be better than the way we met it. This Administration sees you as co-runners of the LCDA for ultimate success.
”Developmental projects, programmes and other laudable moves have been our major focus since the inception of this administration about Eight years ago and we have not deviated from that.
”Distinguished ladies and gentlemen, permit me to give a list of some of our achievements for the year 2024 that is running out. This is just few among many laudable programmes and projects executed this year alone (which has not ended and the work has NOT stopped).
This is the reason why our Council is amongst the leading lights of other Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas not only in Lagos State but in Nigeria as a whole.
”This can not be achieved without your solid support and cooperation. We promise not to rest on our oars so our people at OALCDA can continue to enjoy the dividends of Democracy which we promised during the campaign period. At Orile-Agege, we have strived to touch every sphere of life in making the dreams and expectations of our people come to reality. As l said earlier, it is important to put in black and white some of our recent developmental projects and programmes so we can all see that we are on our toes to make life better for residents of Orile-Agege,” he said.

SECURITY
On security, this administration has been holding regular meetings with Elere, Dopemu and Abattoir Police DPOs and all the Stakeholders (Oba Alaige of Orile-Agege, Oba Ambali Agbedeyi, his chiefs and Baales, CDA & CDC, The National Youth Council, Artisan, market men & women and the NURTW) just to make sure there is Peace & Harmony within OALCDA environs.
The Chairman later urged that all hands must be on deck to achieve this. There must be synergy between this administration and all the bodies mentioned above to achieve peace and stability in the LCDA.
He said, ”The cooperation and support of the Legislative Arm under the able leadership of Hon. Wale Fayemi can not be over emphasised; this administration has been doing tremendously well with the support of the 4th legislative house.
”We are gathered here today to seek for all Stakeholders’ advice, suggestions and contributions on how to improve on the existing legacies laid for our people at OALCDA so they can continue to enjoy the dividends of Democracy.
”Government is continuous, therefore our Budget for 2025 will still cover Health, Education, Empowerment, Roads & Infrastructural development for our people.
”I can not end this speech without appreciating the Executive members, the Special Advisers, Management Team and the entire staff of this great Local Council Development Area for the unflinching support and loyalty to work, l thank you all.”
