CASH EMPOWERMENT: ORILE AGEGE LCDA CHAIRMAN EMPOWERS 500 RESIDENTS WITH ₦50 MILLION

The Executive Chairman of Orile-Agege LCDA, Hon. Johnson Sunday Babatunde yesterday empowered 500 residents with 50 Million Naira.

This cash Palliative is another of his impactful mark in the local community aimed at cushioning the effect of economic hardship being faced by the people.

The disbursement was held at the Council Secretariat yesterday as 500 residents received 100 thousand Naira each.

The empowerment programme was not the first of its kind, and has now seen over 1,000 Residents receive the Sum of #100,000 within a few months.

The Chairman who is known for rightly delivering the dividends of democracy has ensured that the recipients of the fund are drawn from all the 53 CDA. The beneficiaries include Ward Members, Artisans, Youths, League of Imams, Christian Association of Nigeria members, School Teachers, Baales, and other Residents in the LCDA.

While disclosing the motivation behind this huge doling out of funds to the Residents, the Council Mayor mentioned that often times what many people need to experience a huge change in their lives is a very little amount of Money, reflecting back on how he started a block industry as far back as the 90s with just a small amount of money and it ended up being a business that would be the source of livelihood for him and his family.

The Chairman said that another edition of same gesture will come up in a few month time, adding that, he would ensure that more people benefit from the gesture.
