The District Governor of District 404B-4 Nigeria, Lion Samson Abodunrin NLCF PMJF has raised the bar of charity as he donated two million naira to help cancer patients ,millions of exercise books to public schools pupils and grinding machine to women.
Abodunrin made the pronouncement at the public presentation and Fundraising Ceremony of District 404B-4 Nigeria of International Lions Clubs; held at Anchor Centre, Registration Close, Beside FIRS Office, Lateef Jakande road, Agidingbi, Ikeja, Lagos.
While speaking at the ceremony, Abodunrin promised to deliver all focal visions of Lions Clubs International. He hinted that his district will feed over 15, 000 less privileged persons in Lagos, Ogun and Oyo respectively.
He said, ”Don’t forget that Lions Club is a community based Association. In most of the communities, there are Clubs attending to the needs of that particular communities. We shall work with traditional leaders- Obas, Baales, Local Government Chairmen and leaders of the communities. We are targeting about 6, 000 families. The Families will be divided across the 10 regions in District 404B4 Nigeria.
”The Second approach will dwell on school children. Most children in the public schools do have nothing in their stomachs while going to school. Many parents of such children only sent them to school without food. Through this, we are targeting minimum of 6,000 school children.”
Recall the pioneer District Governor of District 404B- has promised to focus on vision, hunger, diabetes, cancer and the environment.
He implored all club presidents, Region and Zonal chairpersons in the District to support his administration to put more smiles on the faces of less privileged persons in the society.
The event was witness by many national and international dignitaries like Oniba of Iba kingdom, Oba Adeshina Sulaimon Raji , Hon. Toyin Fayinka, member of Federal House of representatives, Dr Samson Adewale Adegoke Maigida and many others.
