Ex Tennis Player and licensed Tennis coach, Semion Badejo Adesegun has urged all Lawn tennis stakeholders to work more on development of young talents to raise the game in Nigeria.
Badejo stated this at the 11th Annual Age Grade Tennis Tournament organised by top notched International Media giant, SuperSports Limited along side Badejo Sports.
SuperSport is a South Africa-based Pan-Africa group of television channels carried on the DStv & Canal+ satellite platforms as well as GOtv terrestrial platform
The tournament started on Monday, August 22, 2022 at PCI Tennis Court, Police College, Ikeja, Lagos. It is scheduled to hold between 22nd-27th August,2022.
According to the veteran coach, this tournament was created to set a legacy that will be in pursuit of successive young tennis starts.He said, ”This is 11th Edition of this noble tournament. It is meant to catch them young and churn out future tennis starts for our state and Country. It is a quest in creating successive young stars for world to see. Here are the future stars of tomorrow.
” It is important for prepare for future as many tennis professionals need replacements. Private organisations and all tiers of government need to support the game in all ramifications.”
