The Chairman of Orile Agege Council LCDA, Hon. Johnson Babatunde rewarded winners of the maiden edition of Spelling Bee and Debate Competitions today at the Council Secretariat.
Cash gift were presented to winners of the competitions across different categories with the winner going home with the sum of One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000).
Both competitions are aimed to promote reading culture among students and spur them to do more academically.
Hon. Babatunde pledged to ensure the continuation of the programme and promise to do more in the area of Education as it is the bedrock of our society.
Head of Education department, Mrs. Oke Esther appreciated the effort of the Council boss by rewarding him with an award for his contribution to the development of Primary and Secondary Schools in Orile Agege.
